Atomic Purple is the translucent purple version of the Nintendo Game Boy Color. Unlike the solid-colour models, its clear-tinted shell allows the internal components of the console to remain partially visible, giving it one of the most distinctive designs in the original Game Boy Color range. It uses the same CGB-001 hardware as the other standard colours, with a colour TFT display, backwards compatibility with most original Game Boy cartridges, and power from two AA batteries.
