Released in 2003, the Game Boy Advance SP AGS-001 was Nintendo's first clamshell Game Boy Advance. It paired the Game Boy Advance hardware and game library with a compact folding shell, an integrated rechargeable battery and a switchable front-lit display. The AGS-001 is the original SP revision and is identified by the AGS-001 model number on the label underneath the system.
